
Westchester Knicks to Host Local High School Game in Double-Header at Westchester County Center

WHITE PLAINS - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, will host two local undefeated high schools for a double-header, presented by Affordable Carting, at the Westchester County Center on Wednesday, Dec. 23. The high school match-up will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the Westchester Knicks taking on the Delaware 87ers at 7:00 p.m.
"This is a crucial game for two rivals that are both competing in the toughest league in the section," said Rye Head Coach John Aguilar. "The opportunity for the teams to play at the County Center on the Westchester Knicks floor is a dream come true for all of them."
The Rye High School Garnets will take on the Eastchester High School Eagles as part of a regular-season match-up prior to the Westchester Knicks home game against the Delaware 87ers. The MVP of the high school game will be recognized and presented with an award during halftime of the Westchester Knicks game, which begins at 7:00 p.m.
The Westchester County Center has a rich history in local high school basketball. The first New York State Public High School Athletic Association Section One basketball championship game was held at the historic arena in 1960.
Fans who purchase tickets to the Westchester Knicks game on December 23 will automatically receive access to both games. Tickets are still available at Ticketmaster outlets and the Westchester County Box Office.
