Whistle Stop Launches New Petes Poutine

(Peterborough, ON)- The Whistle Stop Café and the Peterborough Petes will launch a new "Peterborough Petes Poutine" on Tuesday, October 13 at 12pm at the restaurant on the corner of Charlotte and George St. Several players, coaches, and staff will be on hand to introduce the new item, which will be featured on The Whistle Stop's menu.

Petes players voted on their ideal poutine, deciding on a "Mexican-style" masterpiece. The Petes Poutine will be available for $7.99 plus tax, and includes nacho cheese, cheddar cheese, beef, sour cream, salsa, refried beans, tomato, onion, and nacho chips on top of the traditional fries, cheese curds and gravy that have made The Whistle Stop Café famous.

Eric Cornel, Steve Lorentz, Matt Spencer, and Josh Maguire will be in attendance at Tuesday's launch event from 12-12:30pm at the Café. All Petes Season Ticket Holders receive 15% off food and beverages at The Whistle Stop with their STH VIP card. The local poutinery also accepts the Trentu Card.

On the ice, the Petes sit in a tie for first in the Eastern Conference and are the conference's leading scoring heading into Thursday's game against the undefeated Erie Otters.
