Wheeling's Lord Suspended One Game

October 21, 2008 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that it has suspended Wheeling forward Andrew Lord for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #14 at Johnstown on Oct. 18.

Lord was assessed an instigator penalty with 2:45 remaining in the game.

Lord is suspended under Rule 47.21 which states that any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of fisticuffs during the last five minutes of the game or at anytime during overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game.

Lord will miss Wheeling's game against Cincinnati (Oct. 24).
