On December 11, The Westchester Knicks (12-5), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, struggled to hit shots and saw the Lakeland Magic (7-7) come away, 115-91.

The loss becomes Westchester's second-straight marking the first time this season the Knicks were unable to tab a victory following a setback (previously 3-0).

New York Knicks guard Courtney Lee was on assignment from the club and in his first G League contest, tallied 16 points, seven rebounds and three assists. He was 7-of-21 from the field and 1-for-9 from downtown in a near 31-minute showing.

John Jenkins led Westchester with 19 points and was the lone Knick to net more than one three. The team shot just 14.3-percent from distance (4-of-28) which marked a season low.

On the other side of the ball, the Magic drained 17 triples for 37-percent led by four from Gabe York. York led all with 25 points while Amile Jefferson concluded with a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds.

The Knicks got off to a slow start scoring just 19 points in the first quarter and ended the first half with just 39 points on the board. The Knicks scored only fewer against Windy City (November 27). The Knicks' 52-point performance in the second half was more reminiscent of its season production.

The Magic even out the series with Westchester. The Knicks beat Lakeland on November 10, 125-104, behind a 41-point performance from Jenkins.

Stephen Zimmerman dished a career-high four assists against Lakeland 12/11. The number matched his superlative three other times.

HICK-UP

Isaiah Hicks three made field goals on 33.3-percent shooting marks his worst shooting performance all season. His 10 points is the second-fewest points he's scored all season. Following his two-game rest, Hicks averaged 23.0 points per games through three contests. Since, he has averaged 12.7 points in his most recent.

ZIM AT THE RIM

Stephen Zimmerman grabbed nine rebounds, just one shy of his season-high 10 tabbed against Maine (11/2). Zimmerman averages 8.5 rebounds in the last two games. Moreover, Zimmerman is averaging 2.0 offensive boards in the last three contests.

FEELING BLUIETT

After establishing a career-high 29 points against South Bay (12/5), Trevon Bluiett has averaged 2.5 points per game. He put up 10 makes, five triples, four free-throw makes and four rebounds versus the Lakers. Since, he averages 1.0 makes, 0.5 triples, no free-throws and 1.5 rebounds.

TWO-WAY PLAYERS

Beginning in the 2017 offseason, NBA rosters expanded from 15 to 17 players with the addition of two spots for players under "Two-Way Contracts."

NBA teams may have up to two players under NBA Two-Way Contracts who will spend the bulk of the season in the NBA G League and not more than 45 days with their NBA team. Two-Way players are paid a corresponding daily amount based on the number of days they play in each league. Only players with four or fewer years of NBA service are able to sign Two-Way Contracts, which can be for either one or two seasons.

Allonzo Trier and Isaiah Hicks are both under Two-Way Contracts for Westchester.

The NBA G League's flexible assignment system - which was instituted prior to the 2014-15 season - will continue to enable the independent NBA teams to assign players to the NBA G League for development or rehabilitation from injury. Trevon Bluiett is on flex assignment via the New Orleans Pelicans.
