FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Westchester Knicks (13-5) defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants, 131-105, at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Thursday night. The Knicks never led in the first quarter, but regained control after scoring the first basket in the second quarter to take a lead and never surrendered the advantage the rest of the way.
Westchester shot 62.1 percent from the floor, which is good for the highest team field goal percentage in a G League regular season game this season. Nine Westchester players shot at least 50 percent from the floor on Thursday.
John Jenkins finished with 26 points on 12-of-19 shooting to go along with a team-high five assists. New Orleans Pelicans two-way guard Trevon Bluiett added 23 points off the bench with five rebounds.
Kadeem Allen, Billy Garrett, Isaiah Hicks and Zak Irvin all finished in double figures for the Knicks, who now have the most wins in the G League this season.
Indiana Pacers assignee Ike Anigbogu finished tied for a career-high with 20 points. Omari Johnson and Stephan Hicks both chipped in 18 and 13 points each for the Mad Ants (6-7).
Jared Sam finished with a new career-high 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Elijah Stewart also chipped in 11 points.
Fort Wayne will take a quick trip west to take on Oklahoma City on Saturday night. Westchester will travel north to take on Grand Rapids before they begin NBA G League Showcase action in Las Vegas.
