Blue Rolls Past Raptors

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - The Oklahoma City Blue (12-3) defeated the Raptors 905 (12-4), 133-126, to earn the best record in the G League on Wednesday night in the final matchup of a four-game road trip.

The Raptors were the first to strike, gaining a 5-0 lead to start the contest, but the Blue was able to gain control quickly, ending the first quarter up 34-25 behind 16 points from Scotty Hopson, who finished with a team-best 26 on 11-of-14 shooting. Oklahoma City then expanded the advantage to 18 points at the half thanks to an 11-0 run just before the break.

The 905 rallied in the second half, chipping away at the gap and pulling within three points at 127-124 with two minutes to go after back-to-back three-pointers from Raptors two-way player Jordan Loyd. Hopson then scored on consecutive possessions, putting the game out of reach.

All active players for Oklahoma City finished in double figures. Two-way player Tyler Davis earned his ninth double-double of the season with 24 points and a game-best 16 rebounds while fellow two-way Deonte Burton logged 18 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Richard Solomon came off the bench to produce his own double-double of 12 points on 6-for-8 shooting and 11 rebounds. Abdul Gaddy led all players with his 12 assists to go with 13 points, three rebounds and two steals.

Raptors two-way player Chris Boucher posted a game-leading 47 points, eight rebounds and nine blocks.

The Blue will return home to host the Memphis Hustle on Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m. inside Cox Convention Center.
