
Brandon Goodwin Returns to Memphis Hustle

Memphis, Tenn. - The Memphis Hustle announced today that Brandon Goodwin has returned to the team. Goodwin, whose NBA G League rights were held by the Hustle, signed a contract with the Denver Nuggets on an injury hardship relief exception and was waived by the Nuggets Monday. In a related move, the Hustle have waived Jarvis Varnado.
Goodwin appeared in nine games (all starts) prior to signing with Denver, averaging 23.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.67 steals in 33.7 minutes while shooting 53.7 percent from the field, 34.6 percent from three-point range and 78.9 percent from the free throw line.
In the team's November 27 win at Northern Arizona, Goodwin set the Hustle's single-game scoring record with 36 points on 15-of-24 shooting. Goodwin is one of two G League players averaging at least 23.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists while playing in at least half of their team's games.
