
Werner Enterprises to co-sponsor Community Safety Day and Werner Roadeo at Werner Park

OMAHA, Neb. - Werner Enterprises, a premier transportation and logistics provider, will co-sponsor a Community Safety Day and Werner Roadeo at Werner Park on Saturday, June 29, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to attend and participate in this interactive event to promote safety.
This event will feature interactive safety simulators that demonstrate the safety hazards associated with distracted driving, a rollover accident and not using a seat belt. Werner will have its "No Zone" safety trailer on display and Sleep Pointe will feature a mobile sleep lab complete with demonstrations and resources designed to enhance sleep. Safety booths and vendors will be on hand to discuss important safety issues and products that help keep our families safe.
Attendees will be given a punch card to be punched at each booth. One full punch card will be good for one McDonald's grass berm ticket at any July game at Werner Park excluding July 3rd. Complimentary hot dogs and beverages will be provided by MUD (Metropolitan Utilities District) and Pepsi. In addition, the public is invited to watch the annual Werner Roadeo where professional drivers showcase their skills and compete in a challenging obstacle course.
This community event is a partnership with the Nebraska Chapter of the National Safety Council, Sarpy County, the Omaha Storm Chasers and their Premier Partners.
