WARRIORS STEAL ONE IN MANITOBA

The Warriors managed their third straight win against the Brandon Wheat Kings Saturday night. Only a single goal has separated the two teams in the last three match ups. Shayne Wiebe had all three Wheatie goals. Goals for the Warriors came from Captain Spencer Edwards, two from Quinton Howden and the game winner in the last minute of play from Collin Bowman.

Mackenzie Royer continued his point streak having a point in every game since joining the tribe. Goalie Thomas Heemskerk was first star of the night deservingly so after facing 49 shots on the night. The Warriors were 4/4 on the PK.

ONE GOAL NOTCHES TENTH HOME WIN FOR TRIBE

The Moose Jaw Warriors scored with nine seconds remaining in the game last night to beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 5 ‚¬Â4 at the Civic Centre in the first game of this home and home series. Quinton Howden had a goal and two points; Cody Beach, Collin Bowman, Brayden Cuthbert, and Mackenzie Royer scored goals; AJ Johnson had three assists; Morgan Rielly had two assists; Dallas Ehrhardt, Joey Kornelsen, and Dylan Hood had one assist each; Thomas Heemskerk made 25 saves for the win. Mark Stone had two goals for Brandon; Liam Liston made 26 saves in the loss. Moose Jaw was 3/5 on the power play and 5/6 on the penalty kill.

WARRIORS LOOK FOR A FOUR POINT WEEKEND

The tribe will visit their Trans ‚¬ÂCanada neighbour Regina Pats Friday night in their third meeting of the season. The Warriors are 2 ‚¬Â0 against Regina who will be returning from their BC Road trip. The Pats finished with one win, two overtime losses and two losses to Kelowna and Prince George. Saturday night the Warriors will look to claim their 11th win at home. Everett sits with an 11 ‚¬Â11 ‚¬Â1 ‚¬Â3 record and falls at the bottom of the Western Conference. The Warriors made a trade earlier in the season, sending twenty year old defensemen Chad Suer to the Silvertips in exchange for goalie Thomas Heemskerk. Everett will bring to town Tyler Maxwell who has 18 goals and former Red Deer Rebel Landon Ferraro.
