
Warriors Complete First 4-0 Start in Team History, Beat Wolves 109-103 Tonight

SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors are off to their first 4-0 start in team history after defeating the Iowa Wolves 109-103 Saturday night at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The Warriors achieved this team record by completing the end of a back-to-back after defeating the Agua Caliente Clippers 103-97 Friday night in Ontario, California.
Guard Darius Morris secured the team's first triple-double this season by collecting 25 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in 35 minutes tonight. Reserve guard Kendrick Nunn led both teams in scoring with 32 points on 15-of-27 from the field (55.5 FG%), with 25 points in the second half and 17 points in the fourth quarter. Forward Kevin Young had ten points, a game-high 14 rebounds and six assists off the bench.
Iowa (0-4) was powered by forward Keita Bates-Diop, currently on assignment from the Minnesota Timberwolves, with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Darius Johnson-Odom also scored 20 points by way of shooting more free throws (8-of-8 FT) than the entire Warriors team (4-of-7 FT).
Guard Antonius Cleveland enjoyed a career-best quarter with 11 points and six rebounds in the first frame, as Santa Cruz leapt out to a 31-23 first quarter lead. Iowa's C.J. Williams played the entire second quarter and kept the game close with nine points. Iowa and Santa Cruz traded the lead for most of the second half before Nunn and Morris scored 29 of the team's 34 points on 12-of-18 from the field (75.0 FG%).
The Santa Cruz Warriors will travel to Prescott, Arizona for a road matchup with the Northern Arizona Suns on Tuesday, November 13 (tip-off 7:00 PST, Facebook Live). The team will then return home to host the South Bay Lakers on Friday, November 16, with the first 10,000 fans at Kaiser Permanente Arena receiving a Golden State Warriors Championship Banner.
