Bismarck, N.D. (Feb. 27, 2011) - The Dakota Wizards announced today the assignment of rookie center Jeremy Tyler (6-10, 260) from the Golden State Warriors, the Wizards' NBA affiliate. The assignment marks the 38th time an NBA player has been assigned to his NBA D- League affiliate during the 2011-12 season and is the first of Tyler's career.
Tyler, 20, has appeared in 14 games this season, averaging 1.9 points and 1.0 rebound in 4.6 minutes per game. He was acquired by Golden State in a Draft-night trade on June 23, 2011, after being selected by the Charlotte Bobcats with the 39th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.
Wizard fans will get to see Tyler in action as he will join the team today and be in uniform Tuesday night when the team plays host to the Iowa Energy.
The current roster stands at 11 players.
