
Mad Ants Make Roster Moves

Fort Wayne, IN (February 27, 2012)- The Mad Ants announced today that they have acquired Kevin Coble and Ben McCauley from the available player pool and have also reacquired Devan Downey who is recovering from an ankle injury. The Mad Ants have waived Sean Sonderleieter, and Sadiel Rojas due to injury and Mike Tisdale has left the team due to personal reasons.
McCauley, a 6'9" forward out of NC State, has spent the last two seasons overseas playing in both France and Belgium. He participated in NBA Summer Leagues for the Lakers in 2009 and 2010 and the Magic in 2010. As a senior at NC State he averaged 12.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
Coble, a 6'8" forward, played three seasons at Northwestern. He averaged 15.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game during his final college season.
Before he was waived due to injury, Downey was averaging 11 points and 3.6 assists per game.
All three players will be available to play Tuesday night as the Mad Ants travel to Erie, PA to take on the Erie BayHawks in a 7:30pm game.
