
Warriors Acquire Foster

Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Alan Millar has announced the acquisition of 20-year-old forward Thomas Foster, an 8th round pick in 2017, and a 5th round pick in 2018 from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for 17-year-old forward Brayden Watts, a 5th round pick in 2017, and a 2nd round pick in 2018.
Foster, 6'0", 186lbs is from Slave Lake, Alberta and was originally selected by the Giants in the 1st round, 20th overall, at the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. Through 38 games this season he has ten goals, 18 assists, 28 points, and 22 penalty minutes. In five season with Vancouver, Foster has played 259 regular season games and has 42 goals, 84 assists, 126 points, and 161 penalty minutes.
Foster was the Giants Scholastic Player of the Year and Most Improved Player in 2013-2014, he won the Giants Players' Choice Award in 2014-2015, and was the teams Humanitarian of the Year and Post-Secondary Academic Player of the year in 2015-2016.
The Warriors have also announced that they've placed Dakota Odgers on WHL 20-year-old waivers.
