Hitmen Acquire Jake Kryski From Kelowna

Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club today announced they have acquired 18-year-old centre Jake Kryski from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for 19-year-old left wing Carsen Twarynski.

"Jake is a very skilled player with very good offensive abilities," said Mike Moore, Hitmen General Manager and Vice President of Business Operations. "He will bring scoring to our lineup and provides a key player in the 1998 age group."

Kryski has carried his notable minor hockey point production into the Western Hockey League. He recorded 118 points (59g, 59a) during the 2012-13 campaign as a 14-year-old playing AAA Bantam with the Burnaby Winter Club and followed that up with a 48-point season (16g, 32a) while playing AAA Midget with the Okanagan Rockets. Kryski then hit the ground running as a 16-year-old in the WHL, scoring 11 times en route to a 24-point rookie campaign with the Kamloops Blazers. He was also named to Canada Red at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge where he had five points (1g, 4a) in five games.

In parts of four seasons in the WHL, Kryski has scored 36 goals and added 58 assists for 94 points.
