Iowa Wolves News Release
Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves (13-23) defeated the Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario (16-17) 120-114 Thursday night at Wells Fargo Arena, thanks in part to a huge performance from NBA veteran Hakim Warrick.
The former Syracuse Orange finished with a season-high 40 points while shooting a remarkable 15-of-20 from the floor. Warrick posted his third double-double of the season, tallying 10 rebounds and two assists in the win.
Tonight's victory over the Clippers pushes the Wolves winning streak to four games, a season high.
Marquise Moore continued his recent success on the offensive end, finishing with 21 points and 11 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double.
Iowa shot 53.3% from the floor in the win, its fourth straight game making over half of its attempted field goals.
After battling back-and-forth for much of the game, a contest that included 17 lead changes, the Wolves pulled away late to win by a comfortable margin.
Darius Johnson-Odom contributed 24 points, five rebounds and six assists on 9-of-20 shooting.
Forward L.G. Gill finished in double figures (10) for the first time since November, finishing 4-of-5 from the floor.
Desi Rodriguez and Brandon Fields each posted 30 points for a short-handed Clippers team, who battled up until the very end.
Iowa takes off for a one-game road trip against the Delaware Blue Coats on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. CT.
