Warren Begins Rehab Assignment

MOOSIC, PA. - The New York Yankees gave added right-handed pitcher Adam Warren to the RailRiders on a rehab assignment. Warren will start today's game against the Syracuse Chiefs at PNC Field with a 4:05 p.m. first pitch slated.

Warren was placed on the Yankees Disabled List on April 21 with a right back strain.

Warren was initially drafted by the Yankees in the fourth round in 2009 and was traded to the Chicago Cubs with Brendan Ryan for Starlin Castro on December 8, 2015. He was then reacquired by New York from Chicago along with Gleyber Torres, Billy McKinney and Rashad Crawford on July 25, 2016 for Aroldis Chapman.
