Wall of Honour Induction Ceremony Postponed
January 31, 2022 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Lethbridge Hurricanes News Release
Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes announced Monday that due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and current restrictions and protocols, the 2022 Wall of Honour induction, presented by Kirk's Tirecraft, originally scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2022 has been postponed.
The Hurricanes had previously announced that former players Mark Greig and Kevin St. Jacques would be inducted into the Player Category on February 4th with an afternoon luncheon and game to follow.
"We're disappointed that we have had to postpone the scheduled Wall of Honour induction," said Hurricanes General Manager of Business Operations Terry Huisman.
"We are committed to honouring both Mark and Kevin when the time is right and we will look at ways to make the next Wall of Honour induction bigger and better."
A new date and time for the Wall of Honour luncheon and induction ceremony will be announced at a later time.
The Hurricanes return to the ENMAX Centre on Wednesday, February 2nd when they welcome the Swift Current Broncos at 7:00pm in the rescheduled game from January 2nd. Tickets for the January 2nd date will be valid for entry for Wednesday's contest.
