(WHITAKER BANK BALLPARK, Lexington, Ky.) Mauricio Ramos hit a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Lexington Legends a 3-2 win over the Augusta GreenJackets Sunday night.

The Legends trailed 2-1 with two outs in the ninth and no one on base when Frank Schwindel grounded a single into left field. Ramos followed with an opposite-field drive over the right field wall to end the game. It was Ramos' third home run of the season.

Augusta had taken a 2-0 lead with two unearned runs in the top of the fifth. With one out, Rando Moreno singled. Chris Lofton's ground ball got past third baseman Ramon Torres for an error, and left fielder Dex Kjerstad threw high when getting the ball back to the infield. The errors allowed Moreno to score as Lofton reached third base. Lofton scored on a single by Rafael Rodriguez.

The Legends didn't get a hit off Augusta starter Chase Johnson until the sixth inning. Alfredo Escalera's double scored Kjerstad, who had walked.

The score remained 2-1 until Ramos delivered the game-winning homer in the ninth.

Kevin Perez (1-1), who relieved starter Jake Junis in the sixth inning, got the win. Augusta reliever Ray Black (0-2) was the losing pitcher.

The Legends have won two out of three in the series, which concludes Monday night.

Game time is 7:05 p.m.
