Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Blue Wahoos received RHP Kyle McMyne from High-A Bakersfield on Thursday. McMyne has pitched exclusively out of the bullpen for the Blaze, pitching 45.1 innings over 38 appearances.
The righty is 4-1 on the season with a 4.76 ERA and has four saves in 2014. The former fourth round pick was used as a late-inning pitcher for Bakersfield in the California League, a level known for being tough on pitchers. From 6/26-7/20, McMyne did not allow a run over 10 appearances and 9.1 innings pitched.
In a corresponding move, the Reds have released LHP Scott Maine from the organization. Maine was 1-0 with a 6.10 ERA over 10.1 innings with the Blue Wahoos.
