Harrisburg Senators News Release
Austin Voth and two relievers silenced the Richmond Flying Squirrels as the Harrisburg Senators won 5-0 in front of a crowd of 3,468 at Metro Bank Park on Tuesday night. Harrisburg (66-70) posted their eighth shutout of the season as they won their third straight game.
Voth (6-7) hurled seven strong innings as the right-hander allowed only three hits and two walks while striking out four. In four starts against Richmond this season, Voth threw 27 innings without allowing a single run. Relievers Gilberto Mendez and Erik Davis each worked scoreless frames to close out the victory.
The Senators' batters finally solved Richmond starter Matt Lujan as they collared the southpaw with the loss. Lujan had previously held Harrisburg to a .198 batting average and only three earned runs in four starts.
Chris Bostick and Brian Goodwin led the charge for the Senators. Bostick went 3-for-4 with two runs batted in on his seventh Double-A home run and Goodwin 2-for-3 with three runs scored.
The Senators continue their series against Richmond on Wednesday with Brian Rauh on the mound, starting at 7:00 p.m. The pregame show will begin at 6:45 p.m. on Fox Sports 1460am, iHeart Radio, and on Tune In.
