Volcanoes Upcoming Homestand Features Giants' World Series Trophy, Salute to Portland Beavers Night

Thursday, July 7th - The Volcanoes open a five-game homestand against the Tri City Dust Devils, affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. It's another $1.00Thursdaywhere selected adult beverages are just $1.00 during the game in the Stadium's Lava Lodge Sports Pub. Remaining $1.00 Thursday Nights are July 28, August 11 & August 28. Game time is 6:35; gates open at 5:30.

Friday, July 8th - The Volcanoes continue play against the Dust Devils, and it will be SCOUT NIGHT at the Stadium. Pre-registered Scouts will have the opportunity to campout after the game in the Stadium's outfield and enjoy a movie on the Stadium's jumbotron, receive a late night snack, and a breakfast the next morning. To register Scouts need to call 503-390-2225 - open to all scouts: Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire etc., and their parents and/or scout leaders. Home Instead Senior Care will be at the Stadium visiting with fans, and PT Northwest will present a spectacular post-game Fireworks show. Game time is 7:05; gates open at 6:00.

Saturday, July 9th - It is San Francisco Giants Daysponsored by Integrity First Financial, and the Volcanoes will be wearing Giants uniforms. The game will feature a very special treat for baseball fans as the San Francisco Giants2010 World Series ChampionshipTrophy, The Commissioner's Trophy, will be at Volcanoes Stadium. See one of the most prized possessions in all of sports, the World Series Trophy.The Trophy will be available for fans to view beginning when the gates at 6pm, and contuning throughout the game inthe Stadium's Diamond Club.It is also Elk's Night and Polk County Employees Night. It will also be Saturday Prize WheelNightwhere fans can spin to win a great prize. Have fun spinning the Prize Wheel. Other Saturday Night Prize WheelNights are July 30, August 13, and August 27th. Sunday, July 10th - The Volcanoes continue play against the Tri City Dust Devils, and it will be Salute to the Portland BeaversNight. The evening is dedicated to recognizing the meaningful impact the Portland Beavers have had on the area. The Beavers were the big story in Portland for nearly 7 decades. They played in much revered VaughnStreetPark through the 1955 season and moved to Multnomah Stadium in 1956. The 1956 day-night opener in the Stadium drew nearly 34,000 fans. Last September the team won their final game at PGEPark in front of a sellout crowd of just under 16,000 supporters.

Among the notable scheduled to attend will be Portland baseball legend Jack Cain, former Beavers general manager Mark Helminiak, and former Beavers manager and longtime major league player Pete Ward. All former Beavers who attend will be recognized on the field prior to the game.

Keenan and Ben Longcor Founders of Friends of Baseball www.friendsofbaeball.org will be on hand to display the last home plate from PGEPark. Friends of Baseball was granted "Interim Custody" until professional baseball can be brought back to Portland. In addition, a great deal of Beavers memorabilia from over the years will be displayed. All fans that wear a Beavers hat, shirt, or jacket etc., can purchase a specially priced admission ticket for just $5 (a savings of $3 off the usual $8 day of game ticket price). It's also another Kid's Eat FREE Sunday. Kids 12 & under, will receive a FREE hotdog, pop and popcorn. It will be the 3rdSenior Sunday with special $1.00 Senior Meal Deals! Seniors may purchase a Hot Dog and Soda OR a Hamburger and Soda for just $1.00. Remaining Kid's Eat FREE and Senior Sunday $1.00 Meal Deal Nights are July 31, August 7, August 14, August 21 and August 28. Kids will also get to Run the Bases after the game presented by PT Northwest. Game time is 5:05; gates open at 4:00.

Monday, July 11th - the Volcanoes conclude their homestand against the Tri City Dust Devils with a 6:35 game time; gates open at 5:30. It will be the second of five KID'S NIGHT AT VOLCANOESSTADIUM where kids 12 and under will be admitted FREE by emailing Jerry Walker at [email protected], and requesting a FREE ticket. There is no limit on the number of tickets you may request. Other KID'S NIGHTS are July 18, August 8th, and August 22nd. It is also AAA Oregon Night where AAA members will receive $1.00 off an outfield seat by presenting their AAA membership card at the Stadium ticket window.
