Tonight's, Wednesday August 5th, Golden Baseball League's double-header between the Calgary Vipers and the Tucson Toros has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions at Foothills Stadium in Calgary, Alberta.
On Thursday August 6th at 5:05 PM MDT this two-games-in-one-day series concludes with a double-header and it will be the final Dog Days of Summer with dog toys handed out at the front gate. It will also be Grey Eagle Casino night at the park with Dallas Mahan (2-3) and Evan Greusel (5-2) toeing the rubber for Calgary.
On Saturday August 8th at 10:00 AM MDT the Vipers are holding their 1st annual kids camp at Foothills Stadium for ages 9-16. Vipers' players will be on the field to demonstrate and teach hitting, throwing, and fielding techniques. Interested kids can sign up at www.calgaryvipers.com.
For the third straight year the Vipers have qualified for the playoffs and will host Game 3 of the North Division Championship Series on Friday September 4th at 7:05 PM MDT. If necessary Games 4 & 5 will be held on Saturday September 5th at 4:00 PM MDT and Sunday September 6th at 3:00 PM MDT also at Foothills Stadium.
