
Vipers Sign Veteran Infielder

The Calgary Vipers Professional Baseball Club have signed infielder Chad Ehrnsberger to a 2011 North American League contract. Entering his ninth professional season the 33-year-old returns to baseball after missing last season. In 2009 the right-handed hitter was a Golden Baseball League All-Star with the Edmonton Capitals after posting a .332 batting average. The 5'10" 210 pounder has spent six seasons in Independent baseball where in 2005 he was the Independent League's All-Star Shortstop. In his affiliated career the Lewis Center, Ohio resident was signed by the Seattle Mariners and reached "AA" in the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
Calgary concludes a series in Maui against the Strong Warriors tonight, Monday July 11th at 8:05 PM.
The Vipers will return home to Calgary and Foothills Stadium in Tuesday July 12th at 6:30 to take on the Edmonton Capitals.
The Calgary Vipers will be hosting three Women's Pro Fastpitch games between the USAA Pride and the Tennessee Diamonds August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at 6:30 at Foothills Stadium. Tickets are $16 for the Lower Bowl and $12 for the Upper Bowl. Three game packages are also available for $45 and $33. In addition there will be two skill clinics August 2nd and 4th from 10am - 12pm. Cost is $99 for a Clinic and Lunch or $120 for the Clinic, Lunch and two Lower Bowl tickets. There will also be a Lunch Banquet August 3rd including an autograph session with both teams and a lower bowl ticket to the August 3rd game for $49.95 with keynote speaker Cheri Kempf, the Commissioner of the NPF and an ESPN analyst.
