EDINBURG, Texas - With a 38-point win margin, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (9-3) defeat the Texas Legends (7-5) in a final score of 128-90 at Bert Ogden Arena.

Trhae Mitchell recorded a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He also hit career-highs in points, rebounds, assists (5), steals (4) and field goals made (8).

The Vipers led the entire game, making a final push to outscore the Legends 38-15 in the final frame of the matchup.

Three other starters scored in double digits; Christian Vital (20 pts, 7 reb, 3 stl), Houston Rockets two-way player Daishen Nix (17 pts, 4 reb, 6 ast, 3 stl) and Trevelin Queen (16 pts, 7 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl). Marcus Foster (19 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast) and Tyler Bey (18 pts, 9 reb) came off the bench to help RGV earn the win.

All of the Legends' starters scored in double figures with Feron Hunt paving the way for Texas scoring 21 points, shooting 8-for-10 from the field. Justin Jackson scored 14 points and tallied eight rebounds. Loudon Love recorded 14 points, six rebounds, Dallas Mavericks two-way player JaQuori McLaughlin tallied 11 points, five rebounds and Carlik Jones also contributed 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals.
