December 16, 2021 - NBA G League (G League)
Osceola Magic News Release
The Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, fell to the Austin Spurs 112-101 at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
It was a back-and-forth contest to start the game as the Spurs took a one-point lead at the end of the first. The shorthanded Magic were led in the first half by Hassani Gravett, who scored 10 points on 2-3 shooting from behind the arch. Devontae Cacok had another big night on the boards and helped the Spurs extend the lead going into halftime.
Admiral Schofield took charge for Lakeland in the second half, scoring 26 points in the final two periods on his way to a career-high 32 points. Jeremiah Tilmon had an impressive game of his own, shooting 7-8 from the field and posting a 20 point, 10 rebound double-double. Despite some big Magic performances, it was Cacock and Josh Primo who helped propel Austin to the victory.
Schofield finished with 32 points on 4-6 from three. BJ Johnson added 16 points and eight rebounds. Gravett posted 13 points, seven assists and 3 rebounds.
Cacok scored 32 points, 17 rebounds and four assists. Primo finished with 21 points, five rebounds and four assists. Damyean Dotson added 14 points, four rebounds and three assists.
