Vipers Get Revenge on Legends

FRISCO, TX - The Rio Grande Valley Vipers (9-3) got revenge on the Texas Legends (7-5) after Monday's loss with a fourth quarter bite to finish 128-90.

The Vipers took over early in the first and maintained control, but Texas stayed close. After six lead changes in the second, RGV went into halftime up 61-54. Facing an 11-point deficit in the third, Texas racked up eight unanswered points, but the Vipers hit a 14-2 streak to the buzzer. The home team dominated the fourth quarter 38-15 to hand the Legends their worst loss of the season.

Feron Hunt led the Legends with 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Justin Jackson finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds while Loudon Love added 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. JaQuori McLaughlin and Carlik Jones rounded out the double-digit scoring with 11 points each and combined for 9 rebounds.

Trhae Mitchell powered the Vipers with the game's only double-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Christian Vital added 20 points, 7 rebounds, and Marcus Foster came off the bench for 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.
