Vince Macri Assigned To Atlantic City

BRIDGEPORT, CT – The American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the assignment of Defenseman Vince Macri to the ECHL's Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies by the big club.

Macri first joined the Sound Tigers on a tryout contract last March and assisted on the team's lone goal in a road loss to the Philadelphia Phantoms in his first game. The 6'3'' 210-pounder from Brown University signed an NHL contract with the Islanders this past August and was a +1 in two games with the Sound Tigers this preseason.

The Sound Tigers will open the 2004-05 regular season with a pair of home games at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard this weekend. They will host the Albany River Rats this Saturday at 7:05 p.m. and Philadelphia this Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
