Chicago Wolves News Release

The Chicago Wolves have recalled goaltender ADAM BERKHOEL (BUHRK-uhl) from the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL. In addition, the Wolves have assigned defenseman LANE MANSON and center BRAD SCHELL (SHELL) to the Gladiators.

BERKHOEL, who was assigned to Gwinnett on Oct. 8, registered 12 saves on 14 shots in relief of starter Michael Garnett in last Tuesday¹s 5-1 preseason loss against the Milwaukee Admirals.

The St. Paul, Minn., native led the University of Denver to the 2004 NCAA Championship and was named the NCAA Championship Tournament MVP. BERKHOEL recorded a 24-11-4 mark with a 2.45 goals-against average in 39 games for the Pioneers.

The 23-year-old goaltender was acquired by the Thrashers from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for future considerations on June 27, 2004.
