HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Aeros and The Bus 2 will host an "Aeros and Astros in October Party" this Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. The Bus 2, located at the corner of Bell and La Branch across from Toyota Center, will offer several drink and food specials. The Astros face off against the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series at 3:15 p.m. Then, the Aeros take on the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in their home opener at 7:35 p.m. at Toyota Center.

Specials include $2 drafts and well drinks and $1 hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches. Also, Chilly, Sonic Boom and Strike Force will be on hand, along with Slapshot, the Aeros inflatable hockey goal. Fans can try their hand at hockey by shooting pucks into the goal during commercial breaks.

"Almost everyone in Houston is a big Astros fan," said Aeros vice president of marketing and communications Sandy Kirk. "We are so proud of Houston sports. We've waited a long time for this, and what better way to celebrate than with our fans. Our home opener is Saturday, and we invite all Aeros and Astros fans to join us at The Bus 2 for an enormous party and lots of fun."

Tickets are on sale now for the home opener. They can be purchased at the Toyota Center Box Office, online, by calling 1.866.GO.AEROS and at select Randall's locations. The first 4,000 fans Saturday will receive commemorative Opening Night Pucks. Houston opens up the 2004-05 regular season Friday at 7 p.m. in San Antonio.
