Hamilton Bulldogs News Release
The Hamilton Bulldogs have reached a deal with Hamilton's 820 CHAM to broadcast all 80 Hamilton Bulldogs regular season games, plus all Calder Cup playoff games. Bulldogs play-by-play announcer Derek Wills will call all the action, while Hamilton radio personality Al Craig will provide the colour commentary for all home games and select road games.
"The Hamilton Bulldogs are excited to announce our continuing relationship with 820 CHAM for the broadcast of all Bulldogs games home and away for the upcoming season," said Hamilton Bulldogs Executive Director of Operations Brian Lewis. "Our partnership with Standard Radio has reached new levels, and bringing Bulldogs hockey into the homes of as many people as possible on AM 820 through the radio broadcast is essential to promoting our great product. Derek Wills and Al Craig form a dynamic duo, and we are proud to have them on our team."
Tom Cooke, Vice President and General Manager of Standard Radio Incorporated stated, "820 CHAM, along with our sister stations within the Standard Radio Hamilton Group of stations, Oldies 1150 and 102.9, K-Lite FM, are delighted to be entering into the third consecutive year of our broadcast partnership with the Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey Club. Each year our partnership with the Bulldogs becomes stronger and stronger as we will once again broadcast all 80 Home and Away games. We wish the Bulldogs the best of success in this upcoming season!"
Derek Wills, the voice of the Hamilton Bulldogs, will return once again to call all the hockey club's action.
"It's great to be back on 820 CHAM for a third-straight season," said Wills. "I am really looking forward to working with my good friend and broadcast partner Al Craig, as well as the terrific on-air and behind the scenes staff at Standard Radio Hamilton, to bring hockey-hungry fans across Southern Ontario every hit, every save, and every goal in all 80 Hamilton Bulldogs regular season games, as well as the Calder Cup Playoffs. 'Hamilton Bulldogs Hockey - "Hear us play!'"
Al Craig will once again join Wills for all Bulldogs home games and select road games.
"I'm very pleased to be back on 820 CHAM," said Craig. "Derek and I get to work with some terrific people and the station's great broadcast signal means Bulldogs' action can be heard far and wide."
