LAST GAME : Long Beach took the lead in the first period while on the powerplay. Victoria swept up in the second stanza with a 1-1 tying goal from Derek Krestanovich and a go-ahead goal from veteran and team goal-scoring leader Wes Goldie. The Salmon Kings were hosting their second annual Teddy Bear Toss and the donated toys were launched onto the ice by fans following the first Victoria goal.

The Salmon Kings held the lead in the third period and added an insurance goal with under ten minutes remaining. Goldie grabbed his second goal of the game finishing a feed from Jordan Krestanovich

3-1 Salmon Kings

DO THE BLUELINE SHUFFLE : The Salmon Kings witnessed the return of Veteran All-Star Defenseman Steve Lingren in games two and three of the series versus the Ice Dogs. Lingren had missed the previous nine games.....Andy Zulyniak returned from waivers on Saturday to add depth to Victoria's suffering roster numbers....Matt Kelly posted his first pro goal on Friday. It was scored shorthanded and was the game winner. He also notched an assist on Saturday.

SIBLING SYNERGY : Brothers Jordan and Derek Krestanovich almost didn't arrive in Victoria due to a damaged vehicle in the drive from Pensacola, but once they hit the ice, they clicked. Jordan tallied three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in his debut with the Salmon Kings, and the natives of British Columbia combined for eight points (4 goals, 4 assists) in the complete series against Long Beach. They are both on a four-game point streak, extending from their last game with the Pensacola Ice Pilots before the trade with Victoria.

MOOSE CALL : Salmon Kings forward Milan Gajic was absent from the last series lineup because of a call from the Manitoba Moose (AHL). Gajic garnered a three-point game (2 goals, 1 assist) in a 4-1 Manitoba win versus Peoria on Dec 8.

LUCKY 13 : The Salmon Kings have three players currently ranked 13th in the ECHL in various points categories.
