Veteran Blue Liner Returns to Reign

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, announced today that they have re-signed veteran defenseman David Walker. The 2010 - 2011 season will mark Walker's third year with the Reign and seventh professional season.

Walker, 31, appeared in 71 games with the Reign last season, finishing the season ranked fifth in assists among defensemen in the league with 35. The Bridgewater, Nova Scotia native recorded 42 points (7g, 35a) and 106 penalty minutes in the 2009 - 2010 season with Ontario.

Walker started his professional hockey career with the Ice Dogs (ECHL), spending three seasons in Long Beach from 2004-07 before spending one season with the Laredo Bucks (CHL). The defenseman also spent three seasons with the Moncton Wildcats (QMJHL) and four seasons Dalhousie University (AUS) prior to going pro.

The Reign begins its third season, presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, on Saturday, October 23, 2010 against the Stockton Thunder at 7:00 PM.
