
Thunder Hockey Returns to 1280 AM KWSX

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, a two-time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," has renewed a working agreement with 1280 AM KWSX as the official radio flagship partner of the Thunder. Additionally, all Thunder games will be available for viewing and listening online via AmericaOne, serving as the official broadband broadcast provider of the ECHL in 2010-11.
Additionally, it was announced that Thunder Watch Parties will return for all road games in 2010-11 for fans to enjoy in a festive atmosphere to its new home, Fat's Grill and Bar in Stockton.
"The Stockton Thunder are very pleased to again be working with KWSX 1280-AM to provide radio coverage for our fans this season and reach our business partners throughout the region," said Thunder president Dan Chapman. "Additionally, we are equally as excited to be working with Fats Grill and Bar as the official watch party destination so that our loyal fans won't miss any of the action while the Thunder are on the road."
1280 AM KWSX RETURNS AS "RADIO HOME OF THUNDER HOCKEY"
The Thunder and 1280 AM KWSX continue a partnership to broadcast up to 52 regular season road games and additional road Kelly Cup Playoff games for the 2010-11 season. The broadcasts aired in their entirety will begin 15 minutes prior to the opening face-off with the "Thunder Forecast" pre-game show. KWSX, Stockton's News/Talk station featuring "Armstrong and Getty" in the morning, is a growing leader in live Stockton sports coverage, additionally serving as the radio play-by-play home of Stockton Ports minor league baseball and Pacific athletics.
Mike Benton returns for his sixth season of Thunder play-by-play. Benton has broadcast every game but one in the team's five-year history, and has been selected three times for the ECHL All-Star Game radio broadcast. His work includes webcast color commentary and rink side reporting for the 2010 Vancouver Canucks YoungStars Tournament and contributing reports for the San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers official websites.
Derek Eisler, entering his fifth season of Thunder radio color commentary, previously served as Head Coach of the China Sharks of the Asian League from 2007-09 and helped guide the NHL's San Jose Sharks to their first two Stanley Cup Playoff berths in 1994 and 1995, serving as an assistant coach on Kevin Constantine's staff. He continues to ser ve at the grassroots level as a coach for numerous hockey camps across the Central Valley and Bay Area, including at Sharks Ice at San Jose.
Cam Gore, a native of Toronto, Ontario, enters his second season in the Thunder radio booth as color commentator for select games. He additionally serves as an online beat reporter for Sharks coverage at www.prohockeynews.com and contributes with on-air and online NHL reports for the Chris Townsend radio show, heard throughout the Bay Area.
Owned and operated by Clear Channel Communications, KWSX is a 1,000 watt station with a signal that can be heard throughout the San Joaquin County, including areas such as Stockton, Lodi, Manteca, Tracy and stretching as far west as Livermore, where many Thunder supporters reside and conduct business.

WATCH PARTY NEW HOME - "FAT'S GRILL AND BAR"
The Thunder and Fat's Grill and Bar Restaurant are have partnered for this season for "Thunder Watch Party" nights during all Thunder road games. Games will be shown live through AmericaOne's "Bar and Pub Network" feeds. Fans attending will have an opportunity to win prizes, enjoy drink specials and participate in a festive atmosphere while cheering on the Thunder.
Located at 4555 North Pershing Avenue in Stockton and just minutes away from Stockton Arena, Fat's Grill and Bar is a three-time "Best of San Joaquin" Award winner in The Record and features 15 television monitors and four satellite dishes, an array of acclaimed entrees, pizzas, beverages, appetizers, specialties and more.
AMERICAONE IS HOME TO ALL THUNDER WEBCASTS
The Thunder also partners with AmericaOne, the "Official Broadband Broadcast Provider of the ECHL" to offer a webcast via an audio and video link for all 72 Thunder regular season home and away games and Kelly Cup Playoff games. This audio feature will be available through the Thunder's website, www.stocktonthunder.com, free-of-charge.
A live, streaming video simulcast of each game will also be available through the Thunder's website, on a Pay-Per-View basis. Further information on AmericaOne and its partnership with the ECHL will be announced soon.
INDIVIDUAL TICKET AND OPENING NIGHT INFORMATION
Thunder individ ual tickets will go on sale to the general public at the Stockton Arena Ticket Office beginning Friday, Oct. 1 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets for games at Stockton Arena are priced at $7, $9, $13, $14, $17, and $28 (glass seats and Comcast Club). Opening Night is Friday, Oct. 15, when the Thunder opens the 2010-11 regular season at home against the Ontario Reign, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Stockton Arena. The Thunder and Alaska Aces meet in the preseason opener on Oct. 5 at Sullivan Arena, beginning at 8:15 p.m. The Thunder and Ontario Reign square off in the only preseason game at Stockton Arena on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
