
Reign Inks Goaltender Zacharias

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, announced today that have signed goaltender Mike Zacharias to a standard player contract for the 2010 - 2011 season.
Zacharias, 25, spent his first professional season with the Reign last year, appearing in 24 games and finishing the season with one assist, a record of 10-6-3, a .894 save percentage, and a goals against average of 3.28.
Prior to joining the Reign, the net minder spent four seasons with Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he was named MVP during his junior and senior seasons, with a career record of 45-39-16. In 102 games and 6,056 minutes with the Mavericks, the Plymouth, Minnesota native set school career records with a .910 save percentage and 2.71 goals against average and registered five assists.
The Reign begins its third season, presented by San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino, on Saturday, October 23, 2010 against the Stockton Thunder at 7:00 PM.
