PENTICTON, BC - The Penticton Vees, proud members of the Western Hockey League (WHL), are excited to announce the signing of 2006-born forward Tristan Petersen to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Petersen was selected in the third round, 123rd overall, in the 2025 Canadian Hockey League Import Draft.
The Hvidovre, Denmark product joined the Vees midway through the 2024-25 season and made an immediate impact, registering nine points (4G, 5A) in 17 regular season games. The 6'4", 192-pound forward added seven points in 14 playoff appearances. Prior to joining the Vees, Petersen played in Sweden for the Malmo Redhawks' U20 team in the Swedish J20 Nationell. He had 10 points (7G, 3A) in 27 games last season with the Redhawks.
"Petey made a strong impact during the second half of last season. His relentless forechecking and ability to contribute in multiple roles make him a valuable asset as we look ahead to the upcoming season," said Vees President, General Manager, and Head Coach Fred Harbinson.
