Vancouver Giants Set to Host Another White Spot Legends Weekend

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants in conjunction with the Langley Events Centre and White Spot are excited to host White Spot Legends Night on Friday, November 18th when the Giants welcome their B.C. Division rivals, the Kamloops Blazers at 7:30 PM.

To help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Canada/Russia Summit Series in 1972, the Vancouver Giants will be wearing Canada jerseys that are replicas of the ones worn in the series. There will be four members of the '72 Canadian team at the game: Yvan Cournoyer, Dennis Hull, Pete Mahovlich, and Dale Tallon.

"We're excited at the opportunity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1972 Canada - Russia Summit Series and welcome some Canadian hockey legends to the Langley Events Centre," said Vancouver Giants Sr. VP Dale Saip. "The Summit Series was a monumental event in hockey history and the team is proud to be wearing the same jerseys that were worn for that tournament."

White Spot Legends Night will run in unison with the Western Canada Collectibles Experiencewhich runs November 18th - 20th at the Langley Events Centre.
