Moose Jaw, SK - The Edmonton Oil Kings dropped a 7-2 decision to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday night to open their four-game Saskatchewan road trip.

Before they period was out, the Warriors had an opportunity to go up 4-0 after Tate Schofer was awarded a penalty shot but was denied by Oil Kings starting netminder Kolby Hay.
In the second period, the Oil Kings were able to get on the board early when Jaxsen Wiebe fired home his second goal of the season after finding a loose puck in the slot off a rebound from a Rhett Melnyk shot.
In the second half of the middle frame though, the Warriors were able to pull away scoring three more times to take a 6-1 lead into the second intermission with goals from Denton Mateychuk, Atley Calvert and Jagger Firkus.
In the third period, Wiebe collected his second goal of the contest for the Oil Kings after he and Luca Hauf worked a give-and-go to perfection on a three-on-one rush into the Moose Jaw zone.
