TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first, but four errors proved costly as the ‘Cats were defeated by the Oneonta Tigers by a score of 10-6 on Thursday night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium.

Former Schenectady star Casper Wells went 3-4 in the contest with two homeruns, a double, and five runs batted in. The difference of the game proved to be the fielding blunders as the Tigers scored four unearned runs.

The ValleyCats potent offensive kept the game close, led by a Russ Dixon homerun and nine combined hits from the ‘Cats two through five hitters. In the last three games the ValleyCats have compiled a total of 25 runs, 42 hits and 6 homeruns.

The three game series with Oneonta resumes tomorrow night in Oneonta, but the ‘Cats will be back in action at "The Joe" on Saturday, June 30 at 7:00 pm.
