TROY, NY - The Tri-City ValleyCats took the field in Florence on Friday the 13th looking to take the second game of a three-game set with the Y'alls and secure their first series win of the young season. For the second night in a row, Tri-City kicked off the scoring in the first inning. In his first at-bat of the night, Brad Zunica singled up the middle, scoring second baseman Brantley Bell. The RBI base knock would be the only scoring in Friday's matchup for the 'Cats.
The Y'alls would score seven unanswered runs, including 4 RBI from first baseman Axel Johnson, to secure their first win of the year. The Florence win evened the series ahead of Saturday's rubber match in the two teams' only meeting this season.
