Windsor Spitfires News Release
Travis Konecny and Ryan Van Stralen combined for eight points, as the Ottawa 67s trounced the Windsor Spitfires 8-3 on Thurday night in front of 5,175 at the WFCU Centre.
Brady Vail scored all three goals for Windsor (25-15-1-0), which saw its losing streak extend to three.
Vail's second of the game at 16:48 of the first period staked the Spits to a 2-1 lead after 20 minutes. But that's where things went sour.
Ottawa (13-21-1-3) scored five times in a stretch of 21:48 to blow the game open.
Alex Fotinos took the loss in goal, just his fifth of the season, making 33 saves while surrending all eight goals. Phillippe Trudeau made 41 in the win, his 12th of the season.
The Spits head back out on the road this weekend, with stops in Niagara (Saturday) and Erie (Sunday).
