Utah Grizzlies News Release
Ontario, California - The New York Islanders have recalled former Utah forward Joel Rechlicz from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. He will be with the Islanders this evening when they host the New York Rangers.
Rechlicz was reassigned to Bridgeport from Utah on February 18 after playing in 45 games with the Grizzlies tallying one assist and 110 penalty minutes.
The six-foot-four enforcer is the second former Utah player to debut with the Islanders in the last week and the third this year. Andrew MacDonald played in his first NHL game Saturday. Trevor Smith played in his first NHL game on December 31.
The Grizzlies are proud to be the ECHL affiliate of the NHL's New York Islanders and their AHL affiliate in Bridgeport.
Utah returns to action Friday in Ontario. Face-off is scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
