Upshall Reassigned to Admirals

Milwaukee,WI-Nashville Predators Executive Vice-President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the team has reassigned forward Scottie Upshall to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League on a conditioning assignment. In addition, the Admirals announced that they have reassigned Nicolas Corbeil to the Rockford IceHogs of the United Hockey League.

Upshall has played for the Admirals in each of the last three seasons and helped the team win a Calder Cup Championship in 2004 and reach the Finals last season. In 2005-06, the Fort McMurray, ALTA native posted 33 points (17g-16a) and 44 penalty minutes in 23 regular season games and then had six goals and ten assists in 14 playoff contests. In 118 career games in an Admirals sweater, Upshall has 50 goals and 54 assists for 104 points and 196 PIMs.

Last season Upshall posted career NHL bests in goals (8), assists (16), points (24), and games played (48). The Preds number one pick in the 2002 NHL Entry draft has 29 points (11g-18a) and 46 penalty minutes in 73 games for Nashville.

The Admirals's will play a pair of home games this weekend, starting on Friday at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center versus the Rochester Americans, followed by a 7:30 pm tilt with the Toronto Marlies on Saturday.
