Friday, DEVILS 5 vs. Phantoms 3
David Clarkson scored a team record four goals and also assisted on the game winner by Ryan Murphy en route to a five point evening. Murphy's goal came with less than a minute to go in regulation, and capped a three-point night for him. Frank Doyle picked up the win with a 22-save performance.
Sunday, DEVILS 6 vs. Phantoms 3
Lowell scored five times in the middle frame and cruised to a 6-3 win over the Phantoms for a sweep of the weekend series. Aaron Voros scored twice, and seven different Devils recorded multi-poin! t outings. Jordan Parise made 25 saves for the victory. The match was the most penalized of the season for the Devils.
Monday, Sharks 3 vs. DEVILS 2, OT
Garrett Stafford fired home the game winner on the power play at 2:47 of overtime to lift the Sharks to a 3-2 win. Petr Vrana scor! ed for the Devils with just over four minutes remaining to tie the game at 2-2 and force the extra session. Frank Doyle was peppered throughout the entire game, and made 36 saves for Lowell. David Clarkson capped his three-game stretch with the Devils other tally.
In the standings
The Devils 2-0-1-0 week let them claim five out of a possible six points, and they now sit in sixth place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 19-17-3-1. The Devils sit just five points out of second place in the division, with three divisional games on the docket for this weekend.
Coming Up
The Devils travel to Worcester on Friday night but return home on Saturday and Sunday for matches at the Tsongas Arena. On Saturday the Hartford Wolf Pack come to town for a 7:05 p.m. contest and on Sunday they host the Sharks at 4:05 p.m. On Sunday, the Devils will have a collection for carbon monoxide detectors set up in the lobby. Anyone who makes a donation of a fully-functional detector will receive a Devils t-shirt.

Around the Horns
RW David Clarkson was named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week on Monday, with 5g-3a-8pts in just two games. On Monday he started the new week as the only Devils player this season to score a goal in three straight games.
D Andy Greene, who was named to Team PlanetUSA for the Rbk Hockey 2007 AHL All-Star Classic last week, was recalled by New Jersey. He appeared in two games over the weekend, making his NHL debut on Friday night against the Atlanta Thrashers and also suiting up Saturday at the New York Islanders.
D Tomas Harant has a three-game point streak, with four assists. D Mike Mottau notched his first points of the year with two helpers on Sunday, and followed it up with an assist on Monday as well.
Sunday's game was the most penalized of the season for the Devils. The Phantoms and Devils combined for 80 minutes in penalties, while Philly's 58 PIM was a season high for any Devils opponent. The previous highs were 52 total PIMs and 29 opponent PIMs.
