Unique class project centered around December 7th Grrrowl game

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Sports and Entertainment Marketing class at Easley High School in conjunction with ScheerSports and the Greenville Grrrowl presents Easley High School Night with the Greenville Grrrowl sponsored by Benson Ford of Easley. The class, which is the first of its kind at Easley High School, has been involved with various aspects of planning game night activities.
In preparation, the students were responsible for selling tickets and selling the game night sponsorship. This included meeting with prospective clients and discussing sponsorship options as well as updating Grrrowl employees on their progress. During the game, students will be "shadowing" Grrrowl employees, conducting on ice promotions and seeing first hand the business of sports.
"We greatly appreciate Benson Ford for joining us in this effort" said Easley High School junior Muriel Cox. Miss Cox, along with Blair Barton, and Tia Couch were responsible for presenting the sponsorship package to prospective buyers. In purchasing the sponsorship, Benson Ford receives mentions in all Grrrowl media promoting the December 7th home game versus the Columbia Inferno (7:35 PM, Newsradio 1330 & 950 WORD). Additionally, Benson Ford will sponsor the on ice promotion, display Ford products at the game, receive mentions on Grrrowl radio broadcasts for 5 prior games beginning November 27th, a table on the concourse, PA and matrix board announcements during the game, and tickets to the event.
