FLORENCE, SC – The Pee Dee Pride today announced that they will hold Beach Night on Friday, January 3rd, 2003, when they host the South Carolina Stingrays at the Florence Civic Center. Following the game, General Johnson and The Chairmen of the Board will perform a post-game concert. Because of the concert, the start of the game will be moved up a half-hour, starting at 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:30.

General Johnson and The Chairmen of the Board are best known for their songs "Carolina Girl" and "Give me just a little more time." They have been performing their music for over 30 years.

"We are excited to be able to bring a band of the quality of The Chairmen of the Board to the Pee Dee area," said Haynes Payne, the Pride's Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "We strive to provide the best entertainment in the area, and this is just another example of that commitment."

Tickets for the game and concert will remain the same, ranging from $9 to $15. Group tickets are available for groups of 15 or more, and will cost $8 each. Tickets are on sale now, either at the Florence Civic Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (843) 679-9333 or www.ticketmaster.com.
