
Two Weeks in Memphis for Redbirds

THE OPPOSITION: The Redbirds return home to AutoZone Park on Monday, June 12, for the start of their longest homestand of the season. Memphis will host the Oklahoma RedHawks, Omaha Royals and Albuquerque Isotopes for a total of 13 games in 14 days. The RedHawks and Royals will be making their second stops in Memphis respectively this season while the Isotopes will make their lone appearance in the Home of the Blues to close out the homestand.
HOMESTAND HIGHLIGHTS: The homestand begins on Monday, June 12, with another evening of the Rock 103 Great Unsigned Summer Concert Series in the entry plaza following the game. Tuesday, June 13, will be Southaven Night at AutoZone Park and another Kix 106 Karaoke contest. June 14, First Tennessee Bank will sponsor Working Money Wednesday. The first 1,500 fans will receive an envelope containing cash courtesy of First Tennessee. Thursday, June 15, marks the beginning of Coca-Cola Weekend. Coca-Cola will sponsor special giveaways for the first 1,500 fans Thursday-Sunday including backpacks, lunchboxes, logo baseballs and Rockey jerseys. Thursday, June 15, and Thursday, June 22, will also be Grand Slam Thursdays with 98.1 the Max and the exclusive party tent. Special tickets for the event can be purchased at www.981themax.com. Kids can make Sunday, June 18, a special Father's Day for dad. Fans can enjoy playing FUNGO with the Redbirds throughout the game and fathers and their children will have a chance to play catch on the field after the game. Community Nights will be in full swing as the second half of the homestand picks up. Wednesday, June 21, is Millington Night, Thursday, June 22, is Olive Branch Night, Friday, June 23, is Germantown Night and Saturday, June 24, is Fayette County Night. The Zooperstars will perform on Friday June 23. The Redbirds will close out the homestand with the annual Cardinals Weekend. Former Cardinal great Bob Forsch will be on hand Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25. Hall of Famer Lou Brock will join Forsch on Sunday for the final game of the homestand.
CARDINALS WEEKEND: The Redbirds will close out their 13-game homestand with Cardinals Weekend at AutoZone Park. Cardinals great Bob Forsch will be joined by Hall of Famer Lou Brock for the festivities. Forsch will sign autographs in the entry plaza prior to the game on Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25. Brock will sign on Sunday, June 25.
'BIRDS IN THE 'HOOD: The Redbirds will welcome several neighborhoods to AutoZone Park with Community Nights scheduled throughout the homestand. Southaven Night is scheduled for Tuesday, June 13. Millington Night is Wednesday, June 21, Olive Branch Night is Thursday, June 22, Germantown Night is Friday, June 23, and Fayette County Night is Saturday, June, 24. Each Community Night will feature a community expo, a little league parade and special recognition and performances by community members.
FREE STUFF: Fans can load up on giveaways with Coca-Cola weekend scheduled for June 15-18. The first 1,500 fans through the gates of AutoZone Park will receive a backpack on Thursday, lunchbox on Friday, a logo baseball on Saturday and a Rockey jersey on Sunday. The Redbirds will also giveaway cash on Wednesday, June 14, courtesy of First Tennessee and team photos on Thursday, June 22.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Redbirds will hit the road for eight games following the 13-game homestand. Memphis will travel to Nashville June 26-29 and then head west for a four-game set with Albuquerque June 30-July 3, before returning home to AutoZone Park in time for the Fourth of July.
