Something has to give tonight when the Attack travel to London to take on the top ranked team in the Ontario Hockey League this evening. The Attack are riding a four game win streak with victories over Brampton, Erie (2) and most recently Plymouth while the Knights are riding a modest two game win streak after defeating Saginaw and Sault Ste Marie. Artur Gavrus (upper body) and Jarrod Maidens (undisclosed) are inching closer to their returns, however; they are not expected to suit up for the Attack this weekend. Greg Ireland will have a tough job in front of him, deciding whether to play Scott Stajcer or Jordan Binnington between the pipes. In his last 5 starts, Binnington has compiled a 3-1-0-1 record with a GAA of 2.10 and a save percentage of .925 while Stajcer has an equally impressive 3-2 record with a 2.60GAA and .919 save percentage. The Attack will return home on Saturday night to
Friday and Saturday Knight - The Knights will be retiring Rick Nash's jersey prior to this evening's game. The 2002 First Overall Pick in the NHL Entry Draft spent two seasons with the Knights, scoring 63 goals. The Knights made two huge acquisitions prior to the trade deadline, landing forward Greg McKegg from the Erie Otters and forward Austin Watson from the Peterborough Petes. McKegg has 5 goals in 5 games to go along with 3 assists, while Watson has found the back of the net twice in three games.
Look Out For - Seth Griffith. The 18 year old Wallaceburg native has been an Attack killer this year, tallying 4 goals and 2 assists in 4 games, including two OT winners. Griffith is 2nd amongst OHL Goal scorers, having tallied 32 goals this season.
