Round Rock Express News Release

A three run, three hit second inning, and a Mike Coolbaugh three run homer in the fifth inning led the way offensively, as Round Rock pounded out its third straight win over the Oklahoma RedHawks, 6-1 at The Dell Diamond. Tonight's win and Albuquerque's loss puts the Express in sole possession of first place in the American Southern Division.

Lefty Carlos Hernandez pitched five shutout innings, surrendering only two hits, striking out five and walking four to pick up his second win of the season against only one loss. He got fine relief help from right-hander Chris Fussell, lefty Mike Gallo and right-hander Brooks Kieschnick, making his Express debut with 1.1 shutout innings.

The Express lead the series 2-0, and tonight's game marks the fifth consecutive victory for the Express. The Express finish the series at 2:05 PM on Sunday with H-E-B Kid's Day, and baseball bats presented to all kids ages twelve and under. Right-hander Taylor Buchholz goes for Round Rock against Oklahoma righty John Wasdin.
