Twister announced to be in good condition

WORCESTER, MA-During last night's game at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field, Twister, the Worcester Tornado's mascot was knocked to the ground by one of the contestants during the Ramsey Rehab Dizzy Bat Race and sprained his neck.

After the accident, Twister was checked into Ramsey Rehab by members of the Tornadoes staff where X-rays were taken and the tests came back negative. According to members of Twister's family, he hopes to be back for tonight's game at 7:05 against the Brockton Rox.

"Unfortunately, baseball injuries occur during the grueling season. Hopefully he will be able to perform the way that we know he can and continue to bring his excitement and enthusiasm to the park every night without having to spend time on the disabled list. We wish him a speedy recovery in his return, "said Todd Marlin, General Manager.

As both contestants in the Ramsey Rehab Dizzy Bat Race sprinted toward the finish line, Twister was unable to avoid contact as one of the contestants knocked into him, sending him to the ground. Twister was unavailable for comment.
