New Jersey 13, Sussex 0, resumption of 6/30 suspended game

2B Joe Mihalics and RF Jason Tuttle both went 3-for-5 as New Jersey bombed Sussex 13-0 in the resumption of Friday's suspended game. The Jackals led 8-0 after three innings and poured it on with four more runs in the seventh and another in the eighth. Four New Jersey pitchers combined to limit the Skyhawks to four hits, striking out 12 on the evening. DH John Lindsey also went 2-for-4 with his fifth home run of the season and two RBI.

New Jersey 10, Sussex 0, regularly-scheduled game

New Jersey kept up the offensive onslaught and used a complete-game outing from starter Isaac Pavlik in the seven-inning regularly-scheduled game, winning 10-0. Pavlik scattered four hits and struck out seven for hits fourth win of the season. The Jackals only had seven hits, but took advantage of four Sussex errors and six walks by Skyhawks pitching. CF Zach Smithlin was the only New Jersey player to have more than one hit, going 2-for-2 with a double and two runs scored.

Worcester 5, Brockton 0

HR: WOR - Josh Beauregard (3), Onix Mercado (3)

Junior Guerrero and Greg Montalbano combined on a six-hit shutout as Worcester downed Brockton 5-0. The game was scoreless until the sixth inning, when LF Josh Beauregard hit a one-out solo home run; the Tornadoes then tacked on three in the seventh and one in the eighth to seal the victory. Every Worcester starter had at least one hit, while C Onix Mercado went 2-for-4 with a solo shot of his own to lead off the seventh. The Rox have yet to win on Saturday or Sunday this season (0-12).

Quebec snapped their five-game losing streak by whacking 16 hits and riding a superb performance from starter Keith Dunn to shut down North Shore 7-1. Capitales LF Nick Trainor went 3-for-4 with his second home run of the season, a solo blast in the sixth, while CF Goefrey Tomlinson was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBI. Dunn got his second win of the season by giving up one run on three hits in seven innings of work, striking out three.

PH Andy Dillard's 10th-inning RBI single drove in 3B Tom Creighton and gave Nashua the victory over New Haven County.
